IECEE, the IEC System for Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components, is a multilateral certification system based on IEC International Standards.
Covering 23 categories of electrical equipment (including equipment found in homes and offices, workshops, laboratories and health facilities) the Scheme is designed to assure the safety of equipment with respect to quality, efficiency and overall performance of components.
The test data derived from an assessment can be used to support compliance with national regulations in over 50 countries around the world, thanks to a network of mutual recognition agreements.
This reduces the need for multiple test programmes with various test houses, removes trade barriers by addressing ‘national deviations’ and enables manufacturers to gain a faster route to the global marketplace.
Local testing – global access
Our extensive global network provides individual, local support for all testing and certification projects, regardless of your location. We’ll work with you from day one to understand your global market access requirements and support you through the process of gaining a CB test report and CB certificate.
For example, if Europe, North America and Asia are your target markets, we will issue a CB test report with declared national deviations for all 3 regions – allowing you to sell equipment into North American, Asia and Europe. We will issue a CSA certificate for North American market access and a CB certificate to leverage Europe and Asia – all from one test plan.
Alternatively, if you already hold a CB scheme certificate with a North American deviation, for example, we can issue a CSA mark upon review of the report, with none or very little additional testing.
