Overview

CSA Group – Electrical Safety

As well as designing products to meet the performance requirements for your target market, various safety standards must be addressed to ensure the safe use of electrical equipment with regards to shock, fire, mechanical, pressure, fluid and radiation hazards.

Global and national standards exist to allow a consistent and unified approach to safety, ensuring safe product is placed on the market. Compliance to these standards requires a manufacturer to work closely with a Certification Body and test lab, and with many providers out there, choosing a partner can be time-consuming, expensive and uncertain.

Working with us

A typical project with CSA Group UK will involve undertaking an initial assessment of your product, reviewing your design against the required standards. We’ll also create and deliver a test plan in our accredited UK laboratory and marry this test report to our initial assessment. Successful assessment will allow for the issue of a report and certificate. Your market entry requirements will dictate how we structure the assessment to ensure that we provide the widest possible approval under one test plan.

As part of this process, we can issue the recognisable CSA mark for North American market access direct from our UK office, and can offer IECEE CB Scheme certification support for all the standards listed here, thanks to our global network of CSA offices.  In this way we can limit the number of partners you need to work with, saving you time and money in the process.

Our team of experts adopt a partnership approach, providing all relevant guidance and support from the very start. With the best project lead-times in the industry, competitive pricing models, and regular project updates, we can get you to market quickly and seamlessly.
